Free GPA & CGPA Calculator

Calculate your semester GPA from course grades and credit units, then combine it with previous results to estimate your cumulative GPA (CGPA).

Your institution may use a different grade mapping. Confirm your school's grading policy before relying on the result.

Current semester courses

Previous semesters (optional)

Enter both previous values, or leave both empty for semester GPA only. Previous credits must represent the same grading scale.

Formula: GPA = sum of (course credit units × grade points) ÷ total credit units. CGPA uses the weighted average of previous and current credits. Results are calculated on your device; no grades are uploaded.

How to calculate your CGPA

For each course, enter its credit units and the grade awarded. For example, a 3-unit course with an A on a 5-point scale contributes 15 quality points. Divide total quality points by total credit units to find semester GPA. If you have a previous CGPA, enter the previous total credits to calculate a credit-weighted cumulative result.

Some universities use different scales or special treatment for repeated courses. Check your institution's official rules.
